I’ve been on somewhat of a downward spiral in terms of maintaining my eagerness to write.
Ironically, not too long ago, I wrote about about how well things have been going in my life (writing included) and how I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Well, now I can see it coming and that other shoe is finally about to hit the ground.
We all go through highs and lows throughout our life — It’s necessary. With the good comes the bad. With the risk comes the reward.
As stated in Newton’s Third Law of Physics,
“For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction”
Like throwing multiple balls up in the air, we all know that they’ll eventually come down. Gravity ensures it. So, we’ll either have to juggle them or just let them drop.
For me, I’ve been juggling long enough in the past few months and my arms are getting tired. I think I’m finally ready to let those balls drop.
When we’re in a state of busy-ness and are constantly on the go, sometimes it feels as if we can’t stop — But sometimes, we need to force ourselves stop.
In Newton’s First Law of Motion, it states,
“An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.”
It’s a fairly simple concept to grasp.
If you keep moving, you’ll keep moving. If you stay still, you‘ll stay in the same place.
Of course, in life, there are a a hundred and one factors that tend to keep us moving or can also cause us to stop — Finances, work, family, etc.
However, we can’t always let those factors control our movement. We need to hit the pause button and take a break for ourselves once in a while.
That’s exactly where I am in my movement right now.
There are a hundred and one factors that I feel are acting upon me and I’m feeling the need to stop.
When you need to take a break from everything, just take that break.
There will always be periods of prolonged movement and prolonged rest in our lives. It’s just that sometimes we get carried away with one or the other because we feel the forces in our lives acting upon us.
Now, I’m not arguing with science, but I do believe that our will to start or stop can outweigh the forces around us. We just need to decide when.
