Thanks for the heartfelt and insightful response, Frances. I do realize the reality is that I'm a female minority and I will experience things so much differently than I would if I were white. It's something I've struggled with accepting for a while, but given the nature of things in the US in relation to racism and anti-Asian hate, it's become much more common and much more evident for these things to happen.

I do want to have the courage to call it out next time something like this happens and I can only hope it doesn't end up in disaster, but rather, revelation for the other person. Wishful thinking, I know, but one can only hope.
