How Seriously Are You Taking COVID-19?

The terrifying thing I’m realizing is that I might be in the minority of people who have been and still are taking it seriously

For the US, it’s been about five months since COVID-19 swept this nation and turned life as we knew it upside down. Yet, still after five months, we are no closer to wholly understanding this virus, let alone ridding it from our country entirely.

In early March, many of the states that were seeing rapid upticks in their number of cases did act accordingly, mandating that non-essential businesses shut down, people stay in their homes as much as physically possible, and to social distance from others whenever there was a need to leave your home.

And thanks to the compliance of [most of] the people within those states, there has been a slowdown in the number of new cases and less hospitalizations, which in turn has led to the re-opening of many businesses across the country.

However, the key thing to note is that America was not entirely on the same page in regards to taking the necessary steps that were emphasized by health officials. This has ultimately led to unfortunate repercussions in those states that were not as compliant during the early stages of the virus — which is what has been…
