How Many Claps Does it Take to Make an Article Good?

Just because we don’t get the praise or recognition we want doesn’t mean we’re any less valuable — and that applies to our writing as well

Earlier this year, I wrote about why I still haven’t given up publishing on Medium yet despite the continuation of dwindling dollars and depressing stats. If you haven’t read it, the gist is that I’ve pretty much accepted the fact that I’m not here writing for money, but mainly for passion. And I’m completely fine with that.

However, regardless of my motives, I still can’t help but get frustrated whenever I publish an article and notice that it gets little to no reads. And whenever that happens, it’s difficult to not get discouraged and dwell on wondering why it never quite took off.

In the past few days, I’ve published more than I have in months, but sadly, not a single one of my articles has received much traction in terms of a large volume of views, reads, or claps.
