Lately, I’ve been finding myself questioning some of the life goals that I had set out for myself several years ago when I first moved to New York — Goals that I had envisioned a specific timeline for. And being where I am in my life right now, I’ve significantly slowed down in my pursuit of some of them.

While I’m not giving up on my goals quite yet, I have however been slightly losing faith in whether or not I’ll actually achieve some of the ones that I had intended for. And the thing that I find myself saying the most is that it’s just “too late”.

Often times, people associate the life stage they’re in with being too old or too young to do something — Life stages such as being married, being a parent, being a grandparent, being retired. We let these life stages somehow define us in terms of our abilities to achieve something.

As we get older, many of us think that we might have lost the motivation to do something, lost our “chance”, or surpassed our big moment to accomplish a goal that we had in mind. However, our goals have absolutely nothing to do with our age. Big moments come at different stages of life for everyone. And the truth is,

Being too old is just not an excuse

Your age is not a staple number for when you should or shouldn’t have accomplished…
